- Milldale's very own Town Centre is in it's early stages of development, with Lots 1 & 5 sold to national chains, and Lots 2, 3 & 4 selling through Barfoots.
- Milldale's first Neighbourhood Centre, at the junction of Waterloo Reserve and Henry Tayler Rise near Milldale Primary and Summerset Retirement Village, is now open, with Stage 2 planned for 2027.
- Silverdale Retail Centre and Mall offer a huge variety of franchise and specialty stores. There is plenty of parking and places to grab refreshments. Some of the larger stores include:

- The Warehouse
- Farmers
- Noel Leeming - PAK'nSAVE and Bunnings, opposite East Coast Bays Rd.
- Kings Plant Barn, Animates, Jaycar and more beside the Park & Ride on the Hibiscus Highway.
- Silverdale Village is the original township and includes the market every Saturday.
- Orewa and Whangaparaoa both have a variety or shopping centres.
